You Love Nature -
Now Let’s Help Your Yard Love It Too!

Helping nature heal, one yard at a time.

If you’re ready to help restore biodiversity in your own neighbourhood with an ecologist, coach, and fellow habitat makers by your side, you’re in the right place.

With guidance from the Neighbourhood Habitat School, you’ll gain the clarity and confidence to create habitat right where you live attracting insects, birds, and other wild neighbours while saving time and avoiding overwhelm. Through locally grounded teaching, coaching, and community support, you’ll move from uncertainty to action, one step at a time.

6-Week Rewilding Course

Ready to turn your yard from a lawn into nature’s living room?

This course is for nature’s allies living in southern Ontario’s towns, cities, and suburbs, people who feel called to help nature heal right where they live. It’s designed for first-timers and those growing their skills in habitat making and native plant gardening, providing clear guidance, local context, and a supportive path forward.

With this course, you'll get:

  • Six self-paced lessons, combining video teaching, practical yardwork assignments, and supportive resources

  • New lesson videos released each Monday, with continued access for two months after the course ends

  • Private online community for mutual support, inspiration, and shared learning

  • Weekly live Zoom Q&As and group coaching sessions every Sunday with the instructor (recorded for those unable to attend live), including case studies

  • Weekly backyard rewilding project critiques by the instructor, selected from participant-submitted case studies

  • Limited enrolment to ensure thoughtful, personalized guidance

You don’t need a big property, a perfect plan, or years of experience, just a willingness to start, and a desire to be part of something bigger than your own backyard.
