1:1 Coaching

Whether you’re just beginning or already planting native plants in your yard, I can help you create woodlands, meadows, prairies, wetlands, ponds and other types of habitats that support backyard biodiversity and fill your heart with joy.

You may be wondering:
  • Which native plants are right for my yard?

  • What if my site is shady, dry, windy, compacted, or just darn difficult?

  • How can I support lots of native plants and animals without my yard looking messy?

As an ecologist and restoration practitioner with over 25 years of experience, I help people create beneficial and joyful habitats that support the many wild winged, crawling, hopping, scurrying, and buzzing neighbours living right outside our doors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I receive a landscape design?

No, this is guidance and coaching rather than a formal landscape design service. The goal is to help you move forward with habitat creation with confidence and practical ecological strategies tailored to your site.

I only have a tiny yard. Can rewilding coaching still help?

Absolutely. Even small urban spaces, balconies, and pocket habitats can provide much needed nourishment and shelter for biodiversity.

What if I already have an established garden?

That’s fine. We can discuss ways to increase ecological value while working with what already exists.

What should I send before the session?

Photos of your yard, sketches, plant lists, and any questions or goals are all helpful.

Is this only for people in Ontario?

Most of my expertise is rooted in southern Ontario ecology, but ecological restoration principles for creating different habitats apply broadly.

Can you come to my property?

Unfortunately, I’m not currently able to travel for on-site visits, however, my clients find that sharing photos and videos allows us to have highly effective habitat coaching sessions online.
